Why We Love Using Pinterest

Since we’ve been on the road we’ve taken thousands of photos and hours of video footage in an effort to capture forever our amazing journey. One of the ways we like to store and share our travel images is through Pinterest, so we were pretty excited when they asked us to join the Pin it Forward UK campagin and spread the word about how Pinterest works.

While it’s great to be able to collect permanent reminders of our adventures, it does get difficult to organise all our hundreds of images. As well as backing up onto an external hard drive and using Picasa to store photos online, we like to use Pinterest to collate the best of our images – here’s why.

Using Pinterest – How does it Work?

Pinterest is a tool which allows you to collate and store images from around the internet in one place. We’ve used it in the past to check out awesome travel destinations and put together wish-lists of countries we’d love to travel to. However, we predominantly use Pinterest to display our best photos and videos while also allowing other people to view and share them. To keep things organized we sort the pictures onto boards, such as our Best of New Zealand one:

Any pictures that you pin onto your boards link directly back to the place that they were originally sourced from, so it’s easy to find out more about images and check that you have permission to pin them.

We know plenty of other travel bloggers who also love to use Pinterest to record their travels and get inspiration for future trips – why not give it a try yourself?
